Today's buai pekpek (betelnut shit) in Port Moresby

I had someone attacking me on my blog today, asking whether I was promoting the country or destroying it, with the "disgusting" images I was posting.
Is the truth - the buai - hard to swallow, mate?
If you swallow the truth, Port Moresby and Papua New Guinea will become a hell of a lot cleaner.
This and pictures below are taken at the bemobile bus stop along Waigani Drive today.

I think bemobile has done its best to keep the front clean and efforts done have been a challenge, it’s a complex issue, with the informal sector scavenging every available public space to sell their items targeting the high traffic movement of people/public pulled by the availability of core business services in proximity that is banking, hardware, lot 60 mob, hotels, service station and food bars main PMV bus stop facilitating transit point, to key destinations routes within the city etc to name a few
Agree we must take pride and keep our public space free from litter and littering. It requires a collective ownership beyond corporate entities
    Thanks

We need to strategically overhaul our waste management system in PNG.. Send a team on fact finding mission to country like Australia and New Zealand and see hpow they manage their waste and rubbish. PNG's problems are not isolated, its all happening everywhere around the world..But applying the right waste management system used by developed economies is the only way..Interdependence and sharing of the best practices is the only answer...

Anyhow, I think its time we eradicate the plant itself from PNG land surface, but how?
